Erin Andrews bawled ‘like a child’ over Jarret Stoll’s Disneyland proposal (vid)
Self-described “huge Disney World/Disneyland girl” Erin Andrews admitted she was overcome with emotion over longtime beau and former NHL star Jarret Stoll’s Christmastime proposal at “The Happiest Place on Earth.”
Andrews and Stoll have been dating in December 2012, so the apparently romantic proposal arguably was a long time coming, which may have something to do with Andrews’ reaction.
“We went there for Christmas to see the Christmas decorations, and we had a lovely dinner, and he did it right there at dinner at Disneyland,” Andrews said during an appearance this week on “Good Morning America” on ABC. “I was bawling like a child.”
Andrews originally hinted at the engagement in early December with a cryptic tweet in which she commented on how her “ring game” may be impacted by the Wisconsin weather, as the NFL on FOX sideline reporter was in Green Bay for a Packers-Seahawks game in December.
The engagement had all the appearances of being the real deal a few weeks later when a TMZ camera crew spotted her sporting a large diamond ring. She later confirmed the proposal had occurred at Disneyland in an Instagram post, in which she wrote, “To last week’s magical evening at @disneyland #Club33 @stolly28,” mentioning of course Disneyland, Stoll’s social media handle and Club 33, where the proposal purportedly occurred.
The official website of the Los Angeles Kings, one of Stoll’s former NHL teams, also shared additional details of the engagement in a long profile piece of the ex-star at about the same time.
Stoll has yet to officially announce his retirement from the NHL, but he has accepted a job in mid-December in the Kings’ front office as a talent scout.
There has been no reported word just yet on a date for the impending nuptials.
