Four-year-old tee-ball player pulls a Jose Bautista with bat flip (vid)

bat-flip

A four-year-old tee-ball player either knowingly or unknowingly emulated Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista with a phenomenal bat-flip, video of which is turning the enthusiastic youngster into an Internet sensation.

But his showy tossing of the bat wasn’t the end of his antics, as the boy then demonstratively danced on first base after “lining” a single to the left side of the infield.

Fantastic. Now this is young slugger probably knows exactly what Bryce Harper was talking about when he argued that baseball is “tired.”

It boggles the mind to think what Goose Gossage would have to say about this showboating little guy. Hopefully the age of the kid would temper the Hall of Fame pitcher’s response.

Derek Jeter was right: As it relates to baseball, the times they are a-changin’.
