Nightmare Fuel: Chris Christie again depicted as a Cowboys cheerleader (photo)
New Jersey governor Chris Christie’s love affair with the Dallas Cowboys has been a major news story all week. And while there are certain aspects of the bromance that has blossomed between Christie and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones have much more of a “real world” component in a political sense — specifically how ethics questions have been raised in light of their friendship — it’s not surprising that several outlets have utilized the Christie-Cowboys angle as comedic fodder.
Earlier this week, Star-Ledger cartoonist Drew Sheneman conjured up an incredibly disturbing image to illustrate Christie’s cheerleading by imagining the governor as a real Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.

Yeesh. Truly frightening stuff.
And on Friday, another New Jersey-based media outlet, The Trentonian, arguably one-upped the Star Ledger in the Christie-as-Cowboys-cheerleader imagery by Photoshopping the governor’s face onto the body of a Cowboys cheerleader.
Hoo boy. That’s some high-octane nightmare fuel right there.
