LeBron James makes first appearance on set of Amy Schumer’s new movie (video)
Now that he’s done with the agonizing work of deciding what jersey number to wear in his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers and effort involved with thrilling fans in China with his mad dribbling drills, the distractions that have permeated LeBron James’ life of late are now over and he can refocus and pay attention to much more pressing matters.
Taking the first steps in his burgeoning acting career. Folks probably suspected with the above setup that James was getting back to work in the gym and on the court to prepare for the 2014-15 NBA season, but that’s not the case, at least not yet.
James is spending some of his down time itching the bite he received from the acting bug. A few months ago, director extraordinaire Judd Apatow posted a video on Facebook in which he announced how excited he was that James would be a part of the cast in an upcoming film starring Amy Schumer called “Trainwreck.”
See? This is the kind of stuff a LeBron James Beat Reporter could be covering.
On Monday, James was spotted on the New York set of the Apatow-directed Schumer vehicle. It’s unclear in exactly what capacity James will make his feature film debut, whether he will be portraying himself, a parody of himself or maybe just some random guy with a receding hairline. TMZ reports that the plot of the film has been kept a closely guarded secret, so we’ll have to wait and see what LeBron’s role entails until the movie premiers.
What we do know, however, is that in light of the fact that Schumer is the star, we can reasonably expect a ton of crude jokes about female anatomy and things o that nature. The subject matter that we have come to expect — and love — from the very talented Miss Schumer.
