Rory McIlroy spotted out and about in Belfast with model Sasha Gale (photos)
Fresh off his commanding victory at the British Open, Rory McIlroy appears to be allowing himself some time to decompress a bit before refocusing on his suddenly dominant golf game. And he did so by stepping out in Northern Ireland with yet another dashing, young, attractive model.
Before and after whooping it up with Jagerbombs out of the Claret Jug, McIlroy appears fully committed to moving on after his tumultuous breakup with Caroline Wozniacki and enjoying life without the trappings of a serious relationship and living the bachelor life.
The red-hot golfer continued his quest to fully enjoy being single by allegedly seen getting cozy with Irish model-singer Nadia Forde, the 25-year-old three-time major champ was spotted out and about in Belfast earlier this week with model Sasha Gale.
According to report from the Belfast Telegraph, McIlroy and the 23-year-old part-time model and automobile company sales executive have been dating for about five weeks, all while attempting to keep the budding romance well under the radar.
The rumored couple were spotted enjoying lunch earlier this week before doing some shopping, according to an Irish Mirror report.
Following their outing in the city, the two reportedly took off in McIlroy’s pricey Overfinch Range Rover for a stop in the golfer’s hometown of Holywood, where the two couple spent about 15 minutes chatting inside Rory’s luxury ride before driving off.
McIlroy’s chums have chimed in about the rumored budding romance, spilling some inside information to the Mirror:
“Rory is having fun but being very honest about where he is right now.
“He doesn’t want to be with anyone for quite a while and will definitely playing the field for a long time before settling again.
“He’s young and has plenty of time to find the right life partner and he’s in no rush but that doesn’t mean he has to be a monk.”
A friend of Rory said: “Sasha is a really lovely girl and is very popular. She’s lively and good fun but she handles herself with dignity.
“She has known Rory for quite a while and knows his best friend Harry Diamond’s fiancée, Katie Larmour.
“They are getting married soon and Rory will be best man and there was speculation last night whether Sasha will go as his plus one.
“They’re both pretty cool. She’s not interested in his money because she is comfortable in her own right.
“Rory likes to be with real people including people he’s known for a long time, because there can be so many hangers-on. Sasha definitely wouldn’t qualify as a hanger-on.
“Rory is a free agent and Sasha is a free agent and if they want to date, then that’s great.”
Makes sense. There’s no reason for McIlroy to dive into another long-term relationship, what with his fame at an all-time high and models seemingly coming out of the woodwork. By simply playing the field McIlroy allegedly has captured the fancy of not one, but two models. And with his golf game in a stage of near perfection at the moment, it’s safe to say Rory is living the dream right now. There’s certainly no point rushing into anything that ties him down at this stage of the game.
McIlroy insisted last week before he put on a dominant performance at The Open Championship that he was in a happy place as far as his personal life is concerned. It certainly seems to be translating to his on-the-course success as well. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” appears to be the prevailing philosophy for McIlroy at the moment.
Despite all the romance rumors swirling around him, McIlroy was back to business on Wednesday, hitting the gym for some workouts that included something that had all the appearances of the golfer trying doing his best “The Boy in the Plastic Bubble” impersonation.

Seriously, what’s going on in that bottom photo? Weird.
And speaking of photos, here’s a photo gallery to help folks familiarize themselves with Miss Gale.
She sure seems to like the adult beverages. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, of course.
