Marshawn Lynch dives into pool of green slime at Kids’ Choice Awards (video)
Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch may be somewhat shy and intensely media-averse in his dealings with the trappings of the very public life a professional football player endures as a consequence of their fame and fortune, but that does not mean he doesn’t know how to let loose and have a good time when the feeling suits him.
The first recent example of Lynch’s ability to cut loose a little first surfaced a few weeks ago when he displayed a pretty good sense of humor while making comments about his inclusion the recent edition of ESPN The Magazine’s “Body Issue.” He also clearly has a sense of humor about his athletic prowess in athletic endeavors other than football by allowing himself to be filmed during an appearance at a charity golf tournament, where his comical swing was on full display.
Lynch then took it to the next level this week. He was in attendance at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on Thursday night and made a big splash when he took the stage to present an award, first figuratively and then literally.
Sitting in his seat in the crowd, Lynch was called up to the stage. Showcasing his “Beast Mode” tenacity that makes him an intimidating force on the gridiron, Lynch rumbled to the stage, knocking down a couple of random dudes in the process.
Once he made it to the stage, Lynch made a beeline for a vat of the legendary green slime that makes an appearance at every edition of the kiddie awards show and proceeded to take a leaping plunge into the gooey mess.

And some video of Lynch’s self-induced sliming (via the Seattle Seahawks/Facebook).
Keep on keeping on, Marshawn Lynch. Much like the superhero you somewhat resembled when covered in slime, The Incredible Hulk, you are far too often misunderstood.
