Here’s your online shaming of LeBron James for cramping meme roundup (pics/vids)
As you may have heard, LeBron James succumbed to cramping during the Miami Heat’s 110-95 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night in an AT&T Center with a malfunctioning air conditioning/cooling system. Temperatures reportedly rose to above a stifling 90 degrees.
The heat-averse Heat superstar asked to be taken out during the 4th quarter due to the cramps, the second time he requested to be pulled in the game.
James did attempt to make one final go of it later in the 4th quarter but couldn’t do it, ultimately having to be carried off the court after not being able to make it back to the bench on his own.
The Spurs issued an apology for the uncomfortable environment, issuing a statement that read, “An electrical failure for the power that runs the AC system in the AT&T Center has occurred. We are continuing to work on resolving the problem. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
And what an inconvenience it was. At one point during the game, James, mic’d up for the game, was heard saying, “I’m [going to need] some colder water. They’re trying to smoke us out of here.”
From there, the Internet took over, with wisenheimers gleefully mocking King James for his untimely cramps. And some were of a particular vicious nature.

And then there were the smart alecks who mocked and ridiculed LeBron for having to be carried off the court, or, “LeBroning.”

Yeesh, talk about being…
On a side note, this isn’t the first time LeBron James has suffered from cramping during the NBA Finals. In the 2012 edition of the Finals, James had to be carried off the court during a Game 4 match-up with the Oklahoma City Thunder, something that prompted a public shaming of the NBA star by NHL players.
Further, this latest version of “LeBroning” only piles on to the “LeBroning” meme that took over the interwebs earlier this year, although that time it was over his penchant for flopping, not cramping. I’m not sure which one is worse. Or funnier. Just thinking about it makes my brain cramp up…
