Swaggy P! Nick Young somehow sinks spinning 360 reverse layup (video)
The Los Angeles Lakers played the team’s final home game of a nightmare season on Sunday, hosting the Memphis Grizzlies. While the Lakers, as the team has done a woeful 55 times this season counting Sunday, ultimately came up short, losing to the Grizzlies by a score of 102-90.
Nick Young, however, at least gave those in attendance at Staples Center something to cheer about when he somehow sunk a miraculous circus shot. Swaggy P put the ball on the floor on the right baseline rose, spun a full 360 degrees while using the rim to shield him from a potential block by Marc Gasol before sinking an unbelievable reverse layup.
On Saturday, Young said he hoped Lakers fans would come out to the game, perhaps to see him play in a Lakers uniform for possibly the last time, saying, “Our last home game is Sunday. I hope the fans come out and see ‘Swaggy P,’ one last time.”
If it is in fact Swaggy P’s last game as a Laker — and no roster move seems off the table given the horrible season the team endured — At least he gave them something to remember him by.
