Additional details are emerging from the investigation regarding the alleged incident involving an unnamed woman and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in Miami earlier this month.

Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports in a tweet that “49ers receiver Quinton Patton and Seattle Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette also are part of the investigation by Miami Police.”

The Sacrmento Bee‘s accounting of the alleged events also contains some discrepancies from the original TMZ report. According to TMZ Sports, the alleged incident occurred at a Miami hotel, while the Bee is reporting that the alleged incident occurred at Lockette’s Miami apartment on April 1.

Further, TMZ is reporting that the incident was a possible sexual assault while Barrows is reporting that according to a Miami Police Department report, the police are referring to what allegedly occurred as a “suspicious incident.”

Additional details from Burrows’ story:

According to the report, the incident occurred April 1 when a woman went to Lockette’s apartment in Miami at 9 p.m. Kaepernick and Patton were there, and the woman made drinks and served shots to the players. She was also told “to drink the shots she had to ‘hit’ the bong which contained marijuana,” the report said.

The report continues to say that the woman felt light headed and went to a bedroom where she was later joined by Kaepernick, 26, with whom she had a sexual relationship in the past. Kaepernick then left the bedroom. The two did not have sex, she said in the report. The report says that Patton, 23, and Lockette, 27, peeked inside the bedroom and that the woman yelled at them to get out.

According to the report, the woman does not remember anything about the night after that. She woke up in a hospital bed the following morning not knowing how she got there. The woman, whose name is redacted, reported the incident to police on April 3.

Police cautioned that the investigation remains in its earliest stages and no charges have been filed at this point.

49ers general manager Trent Baalke issued the following statement on behalf of the team: “The 49ers organization is aware of the recent media report regarding Colin Kaepernick and is in the process of gathering the pertinent facts.”

Kaepernick and the 49ers were reportedly in the initial stages of negotiating a long-term extension this offseason, apparently with a starting point at approximately $20 million per season. The hopes expressed by Baalke indicated the team wanted to complete the deal before training camp. Odds are said talks will be put on the back burner for the foreseeable future.
