Jennifer Lawrence does Louisville Cardinals hand gesture, wishes team good luck (photo)
Jennifer Lawrence, who remains Hollywood’s “It Girl” despite not winning her second Oscar for her brilliant performance in “American Hustle,” is a native of Louisville, Ky., spending her formative years in the city before pursuing her acting career.
The 23-year-old starlet apparently is a bit-time Louisville Cardinals fan and wished her No. 4-seeded men’s basketball team good luck in the tournament by donning a Cardinals t-shirt and flashing the trademark Louisville hand gesture.
This is not the first time Miss Lawrence has show her support for Louisville as a photo started making its way around the interwebs earlier this year where a still-long-haired Lawrence was doing the “L” gesture while rocking a Louisville sweatshirt.
The Cardinals will begin the defense of its national championship on Thursday night, when the squad takes on the No. 13-seeeded Manhattan Jaspers at the Amway Center in Orlando, Fla.
And in case you’re wondering about any celebrities that are pulling for the Jaspers to counteract Lawrence? None that can rival Lawrence’s star power, but the Bronx-located school does boast Rudy Giuliani and writer James Patterson among its alumni. So they got that going for them.
