Tim Lincecum always has seemed to be something of a man-child — perhaps due to his uncanny resemblance to the character Mitch Kramer from “Dazed and Confused” — so it’s hard to believe that the San Francisco Giants pitcher actually is 29 years old.
Last season, Lincecum elected to change things up a bit as it relates to his appearance by showing up at a FanFest event in spring with much shorter hair, further distancing himself away from the Mitch Kramer comparisons.
On Sunday, Lincecum kicked it up a notch appearance-wise by showing up in Scottsdale, Ariz., rocking an incredibly wispy mustache, if you can call it a mustache.
And yes, as you can see above, Lincecum elected to keep the peach fuzz for photo day, which means that is the image that will appear on billboards throughout the entire 2014 MLB season.
Hopefully, that thing grows in a little bit as the season progresses. Otherwise, a stiff wind could blow that mustache off his upper lip like it was made of dandelion spores.
