Auburn Tigers fan creates X-Mas light display that syncs with radio call of Iron Ball finale (video)
An Auburn Tigers fan with a good handle on to not only string up Christmas lights but also possesses a knack for timing them has created a dazzling holiday display on his home that syncs up with Rod Bramblett’s histrionic radio call of Chris Davis’ game-winning touchdown run off an Alabama Crimson Tide missed field goal in the waning moments of the Iron Bowl that gave Auburn a thrilling 34-28 victory.
Whew, that was a long sentence, although not as long as this must have taken to set up. Amazing. Not only does it demonstrate this fan’s devotion to his favorite college football team, it also is a clear indication that he has a lot of time on his hands.
As described in the YouTube video description:
This is a part of our 2013 display featuring various dmx, Holidaycoro (http://www.HolidayCoro.com), Sandevices and Light O Rama equipment. We have a mix of RGB, incandescent, LED lights along with DIY flood and spot lights from Seasonal Entertainment. We also use a projection system which projected this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH8t1…) while the song was playing.
Yeah, that’s exactly how I would have done it, too.
Once the radio call is finished, the display’s musical coda is Auburn’s “War Eagle” fight song. Well done.
