Here’s what a 42-year-old who sends threatening tweets to the Mets looks like (pic)
On Wednesday, police in New Haven, Conn. arrested Aryn Leroux, 42, and charged him with “threatening in the second degree and breach of peace,” according to an NBC Connecticut report.
The charges stem from Leroux allegedly making several threats directed at New York Mets executives, players and coaches on Twitter, along “with a specific threat to Citi Field.”
Bad Idea Tweets, man. Although it’s hard to believe that someone who looks like Leroux would ever engage in such unsavory, threatening and ultimately criminal behavior. Guess you can’t judge a book by its cover after all.
In all seriousness, this kind of wack-job, social media behavior has got to stop. Just this week, New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs receives death threats on Twitter over fantasy football, now this? Great googly moogly. I mean, sure, the Mets may be a frustrating team to support, but getting yourself arrested because you can’t harness your anger on Twitter? That’s kooky talk.
