Rex Ryan, in ‘I’d Hit That’ shirt, posed for pic with fan accused of punching woman
By now most have likely heard and/or seen the video that shows a New York Jets fan punching a female New England Patriots fan in the face on Sunday. Assault charges are expected to be announced against Kurt Paschke on Tuesday for his alleged slugging of Patriots fan Jaclyn Nugent at MetLife Stadium.
As the incident began to attract more and more attention, it was learned that Paschke had an incredibly seedy past, having served three years in prison in the 1990s for fatally stabbing a man during a fight.
As part of a fascinating and in-depth report on the incident, The New York Daily News has discovered and published a photo from Facebook that shows head coach Rex Ryan posing for a photo with Paschke. Known as a Jets superfan, Paschke has become a fixture of sorts in the stadium parking lot in light of his van that has been customized and turned into what is referred to in the article as a “Jets Mobile.” Jets owner Woody Johnson has even been photographed touring the interior of the so-called “Jets Mobile.”
While the interaction between Ryan and Paschke is no more than a coincidence in light of the alleged assault, an even more “striking” coincidence, as it were, is the message emblazoned upon Ryan’s shirt in the photo. As you can see, it reads, “I’d Hit That.”
