Houston Texans fan’s car has body of ‘Matt Schaub’ sticking out of trunk (photo)
To say that Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub’s 2013 campaign has been an unmitigated disaster would be an understatement. To refer to his epic early season struggles as “a train wreck highlighted by a locomotive going off the rails and plowing into a dumpster fire” may be a better description.
Schaub is arguably one of the primary culprits to the Texans sputtering out of the gate to a 2-4 record. He has thrown nine interceptions to only eight touchdowns, has a 78.8 QB rating and has had a run of pick-sixes that boggle the mind and Texans fans are getting more than surly with his struggles.
Schaub and his family were accosted outside their home following a loss earlier this season, a shameful display to say the least. And on Sunday, Texans fans cheered as Schaub lay on the turf injured during the team’s 38-13 loss to the St. Louis Rams, yet another expression of frustration with the quarterback that borders on despicable.
And now, a photo has surfaced of a presumed frustrated Texans fan who has articulate his or her anger towards the struggling quarterback by a clever — albeit a bit over-the-top — display of automobile-based prop comedy.
Ouch, man. That ain’t right. Funny, but not right.
The vitriol directed at Schaub got so bad a few weeks ago that he appeared to delete his Twitter account to spare himself for social media haterade. A restaurant has mocked him with a “Pick-Six Burger” named in his “honor.” Now this.
Crap, Schaub might welcome the fact that his ankle injury reportedly may prevent him for taking the field for next weekend’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, as it would serve as a brief respite from the nightmare scenario that his 2013 season has turned into.
