Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones turned 30 years old on Monday. And one of the highlights of the festivities in honor of the milestone birthday that should always warrant an extra-special level of celebration was a Pac-Man cake, fitting given his choice of moniker.
But it didn’t stop there for the oft-troubled NFL player, who was arrested just last week for disorderly conduct following a traffic stop. And no, it had nothing to do with “Making it Rain” or some other kind of strip club debacle or booze-fueled run-in with police.
Instead, Jones, in a “Pay It Forward” demonstration, gave some money to some homeless people.
First, the incredible cake (via Instagram):
The touch of having the score be “30” is a nice touch. But only two lives? Given how many chances Pacman Jones has had in his NFL career, nine would have been much more fitting.
Regardless, the cake is fantastic. I wonder how long it took to “GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE” up that confectionery delight. It’s quite large and likely tastier — and maybe more filing — than a bunch of flavorless power pellets. Or a few ghosts, for that matter.
But Pacman Jones really demonstrated his birthday cheer by what else he did on his big day: He gave $1,500 to some homeless people, something he tweeted about afterward:
I just give 15 homeless people a100 next I'm pay for 15 mothers bills that's in need ,That's what I'm doing for birthday. CauseI'mblessed

Classy move by Jones. The guy seems to have his heart in the right place a lot of the time, but just can’t seem to get out of his own way and live a drama-free life. Perhaps turning 30 will help him turn the corner.
