Jaguars fan dressed as creepy clown on street corner wants Tim Tebow (photo)
A few weeks ago, a rally was scheduled by a group of Jacksonville Jaguars fan with the purpose of convincing the team to sign the hometown hero and unemployed Tim Tebow. Things did not go well, or probably, as planned, as barely anybody showed up (above).
Even if the rally hadn’t been comically sparsely attended and fans turned out in droves begging for Jacksonville to become the next epicenter of Tebowmania, odds were slim to none that the Jaguars would have felt compelled to succumb to the public will and sign the quarterback.
On the other hand, what if a lone individual, dressed up in sad clown makeup stood on a street corner while holding an inflatable Jags football and wearing a shirt that bore the team logo and Tebow’s name made a plea to the team? Would that make a difference? Would that turn the tide and convince the Jaguars that the time for Tebow to turn savior in Jacksonville has arrived?
I guess we’re going to find out. Because it happened on Friday morning.
According to a tweet, this creepy clown has parked himself at the intersection of Beach Blvd. and Southside (via @BurritoBrosS**ts):
Wow. His “Passion for the Tebow” is admirable and loyalty to the team is commendable And terrifying. Very, very terrifying. Forget the two free beers the Jaguars were offering for a ticket purchase for this weekend’s game, if he has bought a ticket, the team should give this guy all the anti-psychotic medication he needs.
Even Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee saw the guy and mentioned it on Twitter:
Anyone see the guy on Beach blvd this AM dressed as a clown with a Jags shirt with "Tebow" on it? Scared the poop out of me.

Ha. Scared the poop out of me. You and everyone else who crossed his path, Mr. Scobee.
