Terry Francona has ‘man-crush’ on Jason Giambi after slugger’s walk-off HR (video)
Jason Giambi is 42 years old, but on Tuesday night, he probably felt like a kid again. Giambi played the hero by hitting a dramatic pinch-hit, walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of ninth inning to lead the Cleveland Indians to a thrilling 5-4 victory over the Chicago White Sox.
The walk-off win, the team’s mind-boggling eleventh of the season, reduced Cleveland’s magic number to clinch a wild card berth to five. It came after closer Chris Perez blew a save in the top-half of the ninth, surrendering two home runs which set the stage for the seemingly ageless Giambi’s late-game heroics.

Giambi, still huffing and puffing from the post-game celebration, had this to say about his two-run bomb to win the game: “It’s stuff you dream about.”
Indians manager Terry Francona, in light of his comments following the game, may be having dreams of a different nature, and all of them involving his new “man-crush,” Jason Giambi.
”I think I have a man crush on ‘G,”’ the Indians skipper said. ”That was pretty awesome. Boy, did he hit that ball. Wow!”
