On Tuesday, Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker appeared on “NFL Total Access” program on the NFL Network. Of course, his team’s upcoming match-up with the New York Giants was a significant portion of the discussion, but the conversation drifted off and it was discussed a rumor that Welker once dressed up as pop star Britney Spears for a pep rally while a student at Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City, Okla., way back in 1999.
“Gosh, I’d love to say false there, but I did,” Welker said. “I’d love to say false, but they have me on video. I’ve already bought them off, so you won’t be seeing that anytime soon.”
Well, well, well, it turns out that Welker was unable to destroy all the damning evidence of his in-drag, pep-fest performance. And it ain’t pretty.
Someone employed at “Oklahoma’s Own” KWTV managed to dig up some footage of Welker and filed the following report last year.
Hit me baby one more time? No thanks, man, no thanks. Sheesh.
And still, the wide receiver’s spirited high school performance is far more hilarious — which is tough — than Welker’s new commercials for Old Spice.
