An elderly woman seated in the upper deck of AT&T Park to take in the San Francisco Giants-Colorado Rockies tilt on Tuesday made the play of the night after snagging a foul ball during the ninth inning.
Armed with a glove — perfectly acceptable for a woman her age — the granny-aged dynamo caught the foul ball of Todd Helton’s bat without even rising from her seat. She simply reached down and grabbed it, igniting a flurry of congratulatory gestures, hugs from fellow fans and the admiration from the broadcast crew.
Well done, Granny Glove. Well done, indeed. Later, she was apprehended by security after storming the field. Not really, but it would have been cool if she had.
