Starling Marte hangs drawing given to him by young fan in dugout (video)
In an absolutely adorable moment during the Pittsburgh Pirates-Milwaukee Brewers game at PNC Park on Thursday, a young fan seated near the field in the stands was spotted holding a drawing he had made for outfielder Starling Marte.
Marte was placed on the 15-day DL last Saturday with a hand contusion/sprain and the wee lad took the time to make a “Get Better” drawing for the injured player.
Thankfully, Marte either noticed the youngster and his drawing or had the little guy pointed out to him, as the Pirates outfielder made his way over to the boy.
Flattered by all the hard work and effort the kid put into his artwork, Marte proudly hung it up in the dugout for all to see, much like a proud parent would hang something on a refrigerator. Awesome.
