Ball lost in Kauffman Stadium backstop for second night in a row (video)
Strange stuff is occurring at Kauffman Stadium. For the second night in a row, a baseball has gotten stuck in the advertising located on the backstop behind home plate at the home ballpark of the Kansas City Royals.
On Tuesday, it occurred on a passed ball by Salvador Perez on a pitch from Ervin Santana. This allowed Chicago White Sox slugger Paul Konerko to score.
On Wednesday, a pitch from Jeremy Guthrie bounced past Perez, making an odd clunking noise before disappearing.

Weird, wild stuff. Maybe the Kauffman Stadium grounds crew should tighten up that advertisement and figure out a way to ensure this doesn’t keep happening. Just a thought.
