LeBron James poses by ginormous sand sculpture on Nike campus (photo)
During a visit to the Nike campus in Beaverton, Ore. on Tuesday, LeBron James happened upon a massive sand sculpture constructed in his honor. Featuring a ginormous head of LeBron (receding hairline included), the sculpture also includes King James holding the two Larry O’Brien trophies he won back-to-back in 2012 and 2013 as a member of the Miami Heat.
LeBron must have felt something similar to what a Pharaoh in Ancient Egypt experienced when he first gazed upon a sand sculpture erected in his honor. If that ever occurred. You know, when all the pyramids and the Sphinx weren’t being built and stuff.
And given that it’s LeBron — on the Nike campus, no less — there’s little chance that some beefy, jock-type guy is going to walk by, knock over the sculpture and then proceed to kick sand in James’ face. Unless Phil Knight wants to do it. In that case, all bets are off. That guy can do pretty much anything he wants. All he has to say is “Just do it.”
