During a UFC media tour stop in New York City on Wednesday, Ronda Rousey, the reigning UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, did not take kindly to a fan asking her about her sex life.
An insulted Rousey became instantly combative over the perceived inappropriateness of the inquiry — which cannot be heard in the video, but was relayed in a tweet from MMA blogger Eric Holden as a question about how many times she has sex before a fight– saying to the unknown individual, who apparently was a man (shocking), “It’s not an appropriate question to ask. If your mother was standing behind you and heard you ask that question, what would she say to you?”
Put that in your pipe and smoke it, guy. While Rousey puts you in a vicious armbar while you beg for mercy.
Rousey had every right to feel insulted, even though some may argue that she has invited such salacious inquiries due to doing such things as posing nude — albeit tastefully — for ESPN The Magazine’s “The Body Issue” and Maxim‘s “Hot 100″ list, not to mention that she once fielded such a line of inquiry in the past during an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s talk show.
Still, cheerfully interacting with Conan O’Brien is far a different scene than being subjected to anonymous and sophomoric hoots from some guy in a crowd, who presumably was something akin to a knuckle-dragging Neanderthal.
My only question: Was it the guy who has this tattoo? It’s possible.
