Most folks would agree that MMA superstar Ronda Rousey is an attractive woman: Athletic, beautiful, talented, the whole nine yards. A justification for why Rousey posed nude for Maxim’s “Hot 100″ list. Magazines generally don’t offer up those opportunities to unattractive gals. Whether that’s fair or not is … okay, it’s totally fair.
The fact that Rousey possesses those intangible qualities that our society deems as attractive ones makes the above tattoo all the more miserable, an affront to Rousey’s natural beauty and a black mark on the generally talented individuals who routinely elevate tattoos into something of an art form.
Inspired by Rousey’s cover photo from the ESPN The Magazine’s “Body Issue” from a few years back (photo here), the miserable tattoo fails on every level. It makes Ronda Rousey look a low-bred yokel, akin to Honey Boo, the reality show train wreck Rousey once mocked and ridiculed in a viral video.
Terrible. Just terrible. We could sit here and break down everything that is wrong with this absurd and embarrassing effort at a realistic tattoo, but that would be insulting to you readers. You all have eyes. You can see that the nicest thing one could say about the tattoo is that it looks like it could be covered up by a long-sleeved shirt.
