Elderly Packers fan rocks her trademark mohawk for team’s annual 5K run (pic)
On Saturday, the Green Bay Packers held their fourth annual 5K run at Lambeau Field, and for one day, Packer Backers set aside the beer, bratwurst and cheese and get a little exercise in as a means to celebrate the start of training camp and the upcoming NFL season.
One such individual who attended the 5K race was Mary Steinkraus. Steinkraus was there with Tom Steinkraus to take part in the run that goes through Lambeau Field. Fully dressed in pads and Packers jerseys, the Steinkrauses traveled all the way from Germantown, Wisc. to show their support for the team. But Mary took it one step further: She sported a neon green, Packers-themed mohawk, something she has been photographed rocking at least on one other occasion. Rock on, Cool Granny. Rock on.
Even more impressive is that the elder Steinkraus reportedly was celebrating her 70th birthday. A 70-year-old lady wearing pads and rocking a mohawk at a 5K run. Yep, it’s almost football season in Green Bay.
