Replica of Wrigley Field made out of 57,960 LEGO bricks on display (photos)
For an exhibit currently being showcased at the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory in Louisville, Ky., Sean Kenney created a replica of the renowned Wrigley Field, the longtime home of the Chicago Cubs, using nearly 60,000 LEGO bricks.
The exhibit, entitled “Big Leagues, Little Bricks,” showcases over 220,000 LEGO bricks used in several pieces, centers around the work of Kenney, one of only 13 “LEGO Certified Professionals” in the world. And the crowning achievement is arguably this impressive LEGO Wrigley Field.
Pretty neat. And not the first time LEGO bricks have been used to create famous stadiums. Crap, even Dirk Nowitzki has been LEGO-ized.
