Bubba Watson’s day at Yankee Stadium spoiled by rain, still has fun (photos/video)
Fresh off a disappointing weekend at Merion Golf Club for the U.S. Open where he posted a +13 score for the tournament, Mother Nature rained on Bubba Watson’s day at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday.
Bubba, who was slated to throw out the first pitch before the New York Yankees hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers, but, much like how weather had an adverse effect on the start of the U.S. Open, rain delayed the start of the game, putting the kibosh on the ceremonial first pitch.
Still, despite the bad weather dampening Bubba’s day, the golfer did nevertheless take in some of the sights at the ballpark and even managed to goof around a little bit in the dugout.
Here’s Bubba, a longtime favorite here at the Sportress of Blogitude because of his playful, devil-may-care attitude both on and off the course, working on his putting stroke with a baseball bat:
A CNBC field producer uploaded the below Vine video of Bubba goofing off as he prepared for an interview:
