Barrel worn by Broncos superfan ‘The Barrel Man’ for sale on eBay (pics)

Denver Broncos superfan Tim McKernan may have passed away in December 2009 at the age of 69 but his spirit lives on. And it does so, apparently, due to the availability of one of his famous barrels.

McKernan, known simply as “The Barrel Man,” became a celebrity for attending Denver Broncos for over 30 years, no matter the weather, for wearing a barrel held up by suspenders, a cowboy hat, boots and little else. Hopefully, underwear, but who knows?

Well, a blast from the past came courtesy of a report from The Denver Post that indicates that McKernan’s widow, Becky, has put up the barrel her beloved husband wore during the 2000-1 season for sale on eBay.

The description of the unique piece of memorabilia from “The Barrel Man,” who was inducted into the VISA Hall of Fans at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999 (via eBay):
