Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was taking part in a press conference on Wednesday afternoon while in attendance for Organized Team Activities when an intruder interrupted his interactions with the media.
Newton’s teammate, offensive tackle Jordan Gross, seized the moment and videobombed the quarterback’s presser with high energy, aplomb and just the right amount of pizazz.
Via Panthers long-snapper JJ Jansen’s Twitter account:
Expertly executed display of videobombing by Gross. Quite the nifty little jig he busted out there in Cam’s background. So much so, in fact, that his antics temporarily distracted Newton from answering a question about whether or not he could beat Michael Vick in a footrace.
Cam Newton also informed the media that he has lost 12 pounds during the offseason. That may make Newton more mobile and perhaps even a dash faster on the field this upcoming season, but adding 305 pounds of offensive lineman to his press conferences makes his pressers that much more irreverent and enjoyable.
