Despite blowing a 15-point lead late in Game 2, Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder answered the challenge from the Houston Rockets and managed to hold home court, winning by a score of 105-102 at Chesapeake Energy Arena to take a 2-0 series lead.
But as was the case last season during the Thunder’s remarkable run to the NBA Finals, much of the talk after the game has remained about what Thunder players are wearing to their postgame press conferences, specifically Russell Westbrook, who debuted a leather number so outrageous that it could make Chris Berman consider escorting the young point guard out of a bar.
Jeez Louise, add a leather mask — not that anyone is advising that, Mr. Westbrook (FYI) — and Westbrook’s shirt is something the Gimp from “Pulp Fiction” would wear out clubbing.
And to make matters worse, Durant’s very casual outfit consisting of a short-sleeved hoodie only makes Westbrook’s leather nightmare that much more bizarre. Further, we must not forget the sleeveless shirt Westbrook rocked following Game 1 of the series:
