Knicks coach Mike Woodson dons polka-dot shirt, miraculously pulls it off (photo)
The leadership displayed this season by New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson has been exemplary and has the team humming right along on a run to high seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs race. Sitting at 40-26 and in first place in the Atlantic Division, the Knicks are in prime position for a run of success in the postseason.
But perhaps Knicks players shouldn’t follow their head coach’s lead when it pertains to fashion, as the shirt Woodson sported recently should leave many to wonder if the man is as wise as he is bold when picking out his outfits.
Knicks guard J.R. Smith took to Twitter on Thursday to properly document the black-and-white (I believe it’s black-and-white) polka-dot shirt Mike Woodson was wearing on what appears to be during a team charter flight.
Goodness gracious. Now that’s a shirt. It’s effervescently mod. Or something. And the appears to be evidence that there is an absence of polka-dots on the back of the shirt. Interesting.
But here’s the thing: Perhaps I am in the minority, but if you ask me, Woodson pulls it off splendidly. Although J.R. Smith happens to disagree with my assessment of Woodson’s fashion sense (or lack thereof), as evidenced by his tweet which linked to photo located on his Instagram account:

Ha. But was the hashtag “#Top5WorstShirtsIveSeenInMyLife!”? I don’t know, man. Even if it is an awful shirt, Smith has had to have seen far worse shirts that this bad boy. He is an NBA player, for crying out loud. Are you telling me he has never seen some of the shirts Russell Westbrook wears?
