Holy moly, Kate Upton actually replied to that guy’s prom date invite (video)
Stranger things certainly have occurred throughout the history of mankind than what just transpired, but that does take away from the fact that this is certifiably mind-blowing: The Los Angeles high school student who asked Kate Upton to be his date to his prom not only received a response on Twitter from the gorgeous model, but her answer is equally shocking…she gave him a tentative reply of “yes.”
Jake Davidson, a 17-year-old high school senior from Los Angeles, Calif., has achieved an astounding level of notoriety for his YouTube video in which he cleverly asks Kate Upton to his May 23 prom. In the video, he says, “I’m Jewish, 5’9″ on a really good day and I can’t dance at all,” and adds, “You’re Christian, 5’10” and that Cat Daddy video should’ve won an Oscar for Best Short Film. You could say this is destiny.”
Destiny, indeed, as the extremely popular video and his savvy, if improbable, efforts garnered a response from Miss Upton on Twitter.
First, his amusing video proposal, simply entitled, “Kate Upton, Will You Go To Prom With Me”:
But best of all, here is Upton’s reply:
“@jakedavidson23:youtube.com/watch?v=NvxqUE…” you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I’ll check my schedule 😉

Well done, young man. Well freaking done. But jeez, a dinner date with Arnold Palmer, and now a possible prom date with this kid? Justin Verlander probably should start getting nervous, wouldn’t you say?
Davidson also was featured on NBC’s “Today” program on Wednesday and received a surprise when Upton appeared by phone during his interview:
Wow. Yep, this kid just experienced the thrill of a lifetime. Actually talking to Kate Upton on national television and the possibility of taking her to prom? Not a bad gig if you can get it. Well played, kid.
