Sigh: Columbus Blue Jackets mascot Stinger goes ‘Gangnam Style’ (video)
Lockout be damned, so sayeth Stinger. The beloved mascot of the Columbus Blue Jackets, apparently not a member of the organization suffering from the lockout, was not going to allow the petty differences currently separarting NHL ownership and the players that have prevented fans from enjoying hockey prevent it from jumping on the bandwagon and performing its very own “Gangnam Style” video parody.
“Strike while the iron is hot” is apparently the philosophy Stinger lives by, because before anybody knows it, some other lame-brained, hackneyed song and/or dance craze will take over, and “Gangnam Style” will be forgotten and leaving Psy wondering how fame could disappear so quickly as he attends “Originators of Cast-Aside Dance and Song Fads That Had Way Too Long of A Shelf Life” support group meetings with Carly Rae Jepsen and…I don’t know, members of the Baha Men and Los Del Rio and I suppose whoever invented the Electric Slide or the Hustle.
With that previous statement in mind, I suppose there are always weddings and bar mitzvahs for these forgotten performers. So they got that going for them. Which is nice.
Anyhoo, Stinger recruited some folks and created a “Gangnam Style” parody video, so here it is.
There you have it. Hopefull, this will be the last time I ever have to type the words, “Gangnam Style.” But with the lockout, I’ll take any NHL-related content at the moment.
