According to a tweet from Cody Crouch, who, according to his Twitter profile, is a “helicopter photographer/reporter for the Denver Colorado TV news stations,” what you see above is perhaps the very first ode to new Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning in the medium of cornfield. Obviously, one member of the Colorado agriculture community is pumped up about the team’s acquisition of Pey-Pey.
It was only a matter of time before a farmer in Colorado constructed a cornfield maze to pay proper tribute to the future Hall of Famer, and this one reportedly sprung up in the fine town of Greely. Funny, but I don’t seem to recall any Tim Tebow Corn Mazes in Colorado during his time with Denver. Who knows, maybe Tebowphiles were weary of making too close of a connection to “He Who Walks Behind The Rows.”
Right now, little detail is known about the maze, but I imagine once the above image circulates, much more information will become available. Stay tuned.
And no, I’m not going to make any corn puns. That would be about as much of a waste of time as signing on for a detasseling gig as a summer job.
