Steve Nash sits in a small dog kennel to parody ‘Shawshank Redemption’ (video)
Steve Nash continues to dazzle the interwebs with his hit “Nash, Camera, Action!” series for NOC. The Los Angeles Lakers point guard (still feels weird to write that) has parodied several classic films over the past month, including The Amazing Spider-Man and The Godfather, among others. And now, the latest installment is Nash’s take on the classic Shawshank Redemption.
Nash begins with Red’s “The first night’s the toughest” soliloquy before he segues curiously into an infomercial-esque presentation (in a bizarre Southern accent) about a grinding tool called “The Nash-Gate” which he says he used to escape Shawshank Prison in 1966. It’s quite the spectacle, including how Nash details how you can use the tool to “remove the unsightly corns on your feet.”Yep.
Brilliant. Nash keeps on knocking ‘em out of the park with these bad boys. Or should it be draining them from downtown? Either way, I guess what I’m getting at is that the videos are pretty funny. Yeah.
