Kid attending Padres-Astros game snags foul ball with popcorn bucket (video)
A young man sitting in the stands munching on some popcorn utilized the container that held his buttery and salty snack to snag a foul ball hit in his direction during the 8th inning of the San Diego Padres-Houston Astros tilt at Minute Maid Park on Thursday night.
Nicely done, kid. Sadly, if this crafty young fellow was rooting for the home team, the night ended somewhat disappointingly for him, as the visiting Padres exploded for six runs in the 9th inning, including a grand slam by the diminutive Alexi Amarista (his first career round-tripper), to beat the hometown Astros by a score of 7-3.
Still, this kid’s skills with the popcorn bucket should be commended. Far and away a much better performance with a popcorn bucket by a child than the disturbing scene enacted by “Hungry Colts Fan” below:
That video never gets old.
