What in the holy heck were Durant and Westbrook wearing last night? (pics)
“Kevin and Russell: you guys just won Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. What are you going to do?”
“We’re going to Wacky Outfit World!”
I suppose it is well within the rights of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to dress as they please for postgame press conferences, especially in light of their impressive individual performances (22 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 10 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, respectively) that helped lead the way to the Oklahoma City Thunder snapping the San Antonio Spurs’ 20-game winning streak and secure the team’s first victory in the Western Conference Finals in a must-win game by a score of 102-82, but the getups those guys were sporting were just way out there, man.
Granted, this isn’t the first time (ahem, for example) — nor will it be the last, I’m sure — that Westbrook and/or Durant make wild and crazy fashion choices and debut them at pressers, but Westbrook’s outfit in particular (Durant’s isn’t half-bad when compared with Westbrook’s but…) is truly a sight to behold. I mean, what is up with that shirt? It’s like the inspiration behind it was derived from a patchwork quilt the designer’s grandma made from scrap material or something.
