Ozzie Guillen weighs in on Jason Varitek’s retirement in typical Ozzie fashion

Longtime Boston Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek is announcing his retirement from baseball Thursday and given his status as a well-respected representative of the game (except when it comes to A-Rod and the Yankees, probably), it is expected that players, managers, front office personnel from all across Major League Baseball will express their congratulatory opinions and pay tribute to a fine career coming to an end.

That’s where new Miami Marlins skipper Ozzie Guillen comes in. According to a tweet from CBS Sports Baseball Insider Jon Heyman, here’s what Ozzie had to say about Varitek’s storied career:

Touché, Mr. Guillen. And lastly: don’t ever change, Ozzie. Don’t ever change.
