Gossip: Tim Tebow and Taylor Swift spotted on a dinner date in L.A.

While not as “interesting” as rumored potential paramours Katy Perry and Jenny McCarthy and certainly blows the patently absurd news that Kim Kardashian had reportedly set her sights on him, the rumor mill is spinning at full tilt with the gossip that Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow and pop-country songstress Taylor Swift were seen on a dinner date at the “posh Italian eatery” Toscanova restaurant in Century City mall in Los Angeles. Now this purported pairing at least makes some semblance of sense.

A few details of what allegedly occurred during their supposed dinner date, courtesy of some celebrity spotter:

“After dinner, he walked her out, and then he walked back in to join two other people. I think they may have been with their agents.”

Agents? Sounds to me like this very well could have been some kind of business meeting. Or was the presence of the two’s respective agents something of a smokescreen to provide the illusion that it was only a business meeting? Boy, do I love celebrity gossip speculation!

Video report featuring all the juicy details from something called Clevver News (via celebuzz! — the exclamation point means the celebrity buzz news they report is super exciting) follows:

Apparently, this wasn’t the first time the two have been seen getting to know each other better. According to an earlier celebuzz! report, Tebow and Swift were spotted conversing at the WME’s exclusive pre-Oscars bash in Brentwood on Sunday:

Our insider told us that Taylor, who was spotted rocking a black dress, spent most of her evening talking to the hunky quarterback. “They were together for almost an hour,” adds the insider. “She approached Tim and he looked more than happy to be talking with her.”

Well, I suppose all that’s left to do now is wait and see what becomes of the chance encounters between these two young, single superstars. I know I cannot wait to find out what happens next! Whee! When sports and entertainment gossip come together, it’s quite the thrill, wouldn’t you agree?

Sigh.
