Former Eagles Cheerleader Reinvented Herself As A Soft-Core Porn Actress

Thirteen years ago, as Beverly Lynne Hubscher nervously awaited her tryout to become a Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader, she probably never dreamed her life would take the course it did. But as she described her transition from starry-eyed, aspiring cheerleader to “The Queen of Late Nite,” a name she has given herself due to the frequency her films are shown in the nighttime hours on HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, TMC and the Playboy Channel, the woman now known as Beverly Lynne doesn’t regret it one bit.

Mark Kram of the Philadelphia Daily News caught up with Lynne on the set of a film she was working on, which bears the amusing title of Busty Housewives of Beverly Hills, one of two soft-core adult films she was scheduled to shoot over a four-day period in October (the other one was Teenie Weenie Bikini Squad), and documented the interesting road Lynn has traveled.

Lynne, from her days as an Eagles cheerleader (front, center)

Lynne stayed on as an Eagles cheerleader for only two years, which she describes asĀ “one of the greatest experiences of my life.” During that brief time, she served as the cover girl on the Eagles cheerleader’s 1999-2000 swimsuit calendar, before the lure of becoming the center of attention drew her away from Veterans Stadium and into the world of the erotic film industry. With the calendar cover a sure-fire way to attract the attention of directors and casting agents in Hollywood, so Lynne packed her bags and headed out West, going on to appear in dozens of films, including the following provocatively titled pictures: Super Ninja Bikini Babes, Bewitched Housewives, Bikini Chain Gang, Bikini a Go-Go, Genie in a String Bikini, Lessons in Love and Young and Tempting. She has also been cast in a few horror movies, such as The Zombie Chronicles, Holy Terror and Terror Tunes.

Now with 10 years in the business under her belt, Lynne looks at her career realistically and refuses to be ashamed of it:

“At the end of the day, this is just a business, just like any business; it pays the bills,” says Lynne. “I have created this sexy minx side of me that is ‘Beverly.’ But like any other occupation, you can be busy and then have your dry spells. People have the idea that we do this because we are sex addicts, but nothing could be further from the truth. We are not here to get our rocks off.

“I find it offensive that people think, ‘Oh, she is known for taking her clothes off, so she is not someone you can cast in a substantial role.’ So they have a preconceived idea about you, that you are a ‘bad actor’ or ‘stupid.’ They think of you as a bimbo.”

Not bad for a girl who was referred to as “Lurch” from The Addams Family by her Catholic grade school classmates because she was very tall and had hair on her arms. She blossomed later and was voted “most photogenic” by her high school classmates. From there, the now-named “Queen of Late Nite” tried out to be a Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader and the rest, as they say, is history.
