Holy Moly, Chad Ochocinco Has Some Insane Aquariums In His House

Holy crap, would you get a look at that thing? You have to give Chad Ochocinco credit: love him or hate him, one has to admit that is one garishly impressive fish tank right there. I bet the feeling of sleeping under that ginormous aquarium would sufficiently duplicate what it would be like to be under the sea in an octopus’ garden in the shade. But I digress.

Created by Wayde King and Brett Raymer and their Acrylic Tank Manufacturing company, the incredible handiwork they performed on behalf of the New England Patriots wide receiver for his Florida mansion more than adequately showcases their considerable talents and provides evidence why they have their own show on Animal Planet, Tanked.

And if the above aquarium does not impress you, check out the other custom-built, over-sized tank King and Raymer constructed in Ochocinco’s living room. Oh, did I mention the aquarium houses three flat screen TVs?

Holy schnikies. That is awesome. Opulent, sure, but awesome nonetheless. In fact, it makes like this Ochocinco fellow just a little bit more. Clearly, the guy has taste and a near ravenous appreciation for the finer things in life. I can respect that.

UPDATE: Below is how the headboard aquarium looks in its more finished form (via Shutdown Corner):

Hopefully, that will put the kibosh on the need for any further discussion regarding the issue.

he needs a different electrician, leaving those big boxes on top. Kinda ruins the whole effect for me.

I agree Jake. That takes the whole look away for me. You would think that they would be able to hide that a little better. Looks great, but that really takes the look away. It’s the little things that mess it up.

I would think that the electical work (and plumbing underneath) would be hidden by some other furniture / bookcase / entertainment unit. I don’t think someone would leave all that exposed.

Well “someone” did & it looks horrid! My hubby & I love the fishes too but at least our custom tank craftsmen had enough respect for the project & overall aesthetic to work through the details of how such tanks need to be serviced, maintained, and lit!

Have you no brain? The first two pictures are obviously prior to completion. The last picture is the same tank as the first and it looks great, the tank pictured in the middle will doubtless be dressed up with a hood and the base will be covered properly. Child please….

Wow, who would have guessed there would be so many unimpressed people commenting on this picture?

I have a feeling the electrical and the bottom of the aquarium will be covered up, they probably took a lot of stuff out of the room during the installation of the tank… that is usually a good idea when you are constructing something that large. I have a feeling it will look good when it is completed.

Why would you build a huge aquarium and then cover it up with three flat screens? Stupid.

And the electrical…one can only imagine/hope that will be covered up later but even if it is…couldn’t it have been placed in a better location?

I’m shocked at the number of people who don’t realize that the pictures above are the tanks in their unfinished condition….

…and saddened by the number of people who don’t understand why the electrical connects are above the massive fish tanks.

    700 ft. Couch? Nice typo.

How many brain cells did we all lose after reading that pointless “story”. Yes — the “700 ft.” couch & an old picture of Chad’s “fiancee” posted months ago via his Twitter account. Stories like this are the reason why female sports reporters will continue to have a hard time being taken seriously. This was nothing more than promo for the people who manufacture the fish tanks — absolutely pointless.

Apparently, I lost enough brain cells to exclude a “?” after my ?. Smh

Shouldn’t one of the flat-screens be facing in? I mean, when do the fish get to watch TV?

it amazes me that no one mentioned the tackyness of the ladder by the bed. you woulkd think chad would have a better way of feeding his fish – but hey its chad, hes probaly feeding them popcorn right. :-)

It’s a shame that the fish are subjected to the sound from three flat screens. Imagine how miserable they must be when he’s blaring those.

With the electrical issue, I think that all you need to do is be a little creative- Ive done that with my own bedroom- I’ve hidden all electricity in any little crevaces that I could find near my fish tanks. He’s just going for simplicity, not looks :/
