Sadly, you and the rest of your power couple ilk now have been usurped: Forbes has named New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, as the highest-earning couple in the world. And really, would we want it any other way?

Thanks to a monster year filled with fashion and endorsement deals, not to mention a few business ventures that could put her on the road to becoming the world’s first billionaire supermodel, Bundchen pocketed a massive $45 million over the 12-month period. Not to be overshadowed by his more famous wife, Brady – who signed a four-year, $72 million contract extension in September with the New England Patriots, NFL’s richest deal on an annual basis – brought home another $31 million, putting the couple’s combined annual earnings at $76 million.
Allow me to be the first to congratulate the two on their ascension to the top of list of über-rich celebrity couples. It was a hard-earned title, and more than that, it was much deserved. And we all know what this news indicates for the globetrotting future of Tom and Gisele: more glamorous, booty-shaking vacations to Rio, not to mention more waterslide frivolity. Oh, the waterslides:

Giseles talent using here looks while she has them, they do no last forever. Plus being a smart business woman in that anyone wanting her for advertising there products and being a spokeswoman for them she wants a part of their business. It is called using all her assets to the fullest and not wasting any opportunity given to her.
Have you looked at her? She models and is totally beautiful at it – that’s what she does. We buy magazines to see her show what is in fashion for the new season. We watch her on runway shows – holy cow, she is not one of those sticks, she has great coloring and bone structure, she looks really healthy and does not have chaulky looking skin, knobby knees and elbows that could be used as weapons they are so boney. Pretty, healthy, happy and successful people are an inspiration.
Well… Much deserved, I think not… Yeah everyone loves a sexy model, and a grrreat quarterback for a world class team. But considering the state of our economy, it frusrates me to see the “celebrities” making soooooooooo much money, and the deserving people make less deserving salaries, i.e. MILITARY, FIRST RESPONSE, TEACHERS, ect… It’s one thing to “MAKE” that much money, yet quite another to “EARN” that much money. I’m not fully aware of what socciatal contributions these two are making, but I know that we “THE PEOPLE” could contribute our money to a much better cause than Athletes, Actors, Models, ect… I’m damn sure that these “celebrities” could as well… I’m not a celebrity hater, but I do think that the “FREE WORLD” money could be much better distributed…

I truley agree with your statement we have so many people out there dying for us and teaching and so many hard working people that deserve more than they can chew . Im not a hater but celebs that make so much money where is it going how about helping out people who really need it ..remember where is all that money going when you die not with you so us it wisley and be known other than bieng the richest im tired of listening or reading about someone is getting richer how about celebs that acually are helping for a cause.
Because a lot of those people who “really need it” haven’t tried hard enough or believed in themself enough to make anything happen. I know I’m not the only person who thinks the majority of America are fat, lazy slobs that will take the opportunity for free stuff any chance they can. Have 5 kids, no job, single mother, never married…You get paid…for sleeping around unprotected. The messed up thing is…people do it on purpose now, because we’ve made it so easy for them to recieve the checks.

I have been a registered nurse for 35 years. My work, I feel is much more valuable and take’s quite a bit more knowledge/smarts than celebrities. Nevertheless, I will never make anything close to what they do. The unfortunate thing is people get huge salaries for modeling and playing sports, whereas, those who actually make a positive outcome in aiding individuals to get well aren’t compensated in any way near that of the “celebrities”. Something is wrong with that picture. Nevertheless, my career has been the most rewarding mentally, emotionally I could have ever found.
I think what Steve seemed to say was that paying celelbrities these outrageous salaries seems out of line to what other’s individual’s make who are in careers that improve person’s lives and future.
Because you’re not on TV or in Magazines, THAT’s where the money is made, through endorsements. There is simply more capital. You know how much money is spent daily at hospitals…Do you think they have much left over, especially with ALL nurses and doctors, to pay you $42 million a year?
