Reggie Bush’s ‘How To Alienate Fans And Appear Idiotic In Three Tweets’

By on May 10, 2011 at 8:55 am

Bravo, Reggie Bush. Bra-freaking-vo. As you can see from New Orleans Saints (for now) running back Reggie Bush’s tweet from last night, he has no problem whatsoever with the NFL Lockout. It has provided him ample time to catch up on his maxin’ and relaxin’, so what’s the big deal with it? And he’s good, folks. And you see, if Reggie Bush is good, everything’s good. The guy won the Heisman Trophy for crying out loud. Oh, wait.

Anyhoo, if you happen to be one of those people who cannot just let Reggie be Reggie as he chills on the beach, save for some public appearances – blech – via his Twitter account, Bush continued to provide ample reason as to why the NFL Lockout is such a win-win. Well, at least a win-win for Reggie, and really, that’s all that counts. But for all of you selfish saps out there, Reggie Bush explains:

Ah yes, an allusion to slavery. That one always works out well. Oh, and the reference that he would be putting his body at risk for nothing? And here I thought NFL players were well compensated for what they do. Crap, Reggie Bush didn’t even put his body at risk for no pay when he was not supposed to be receiving compensation (at least in monetary form – who needs a free education, right?) while at USC.

Finally, the climax of Bush’s three tweet trifecta of a virtuoso performance:

Wait. Was he joking about the tweet immediately previous to this one? The one about slaving away for nothing while completely ignoring the ignorance and idiocy contained in the tweet previous to that one about loving everything about the NFL Lockout? Well, in the end it doesn’t matter. Reggie’s okay, and that’s all that counts. And FYI, it’s called a sense of humor people. And if you don’t have that particular personality component, you can go ahead and cry reggie a river, man.

Further, Reggie Say Relax. Don’t do it. Or whatever.

Curious as to what makes you believe he’s loving the lockout? He said he’s making the most out of it… that’s it. He didn’t say “I’M LOVING THIS LOCKOUT!” , or “YES! THE LOCKOUT IS STILL IN EFFECT”

RB — You have contributed the least and received about the most since the day you were hired. Yes, hired. You think that the NFL is anything more than a job? There is no slavery in the NFL – there is, however, a standard of working your butt off to show you are the best; this is a principle you’ve never been able to show. You drop more balls than teenage military plebes, make no apologies as to your lack of production, and are always listed on game day as having some sort of ailment: turf helmet; herniated belly-button; groin-up pains; Joan Crawford shoulder pads; the list goes on. So, $11.something/yr isn’t enough for your useless self? Take a hike to Cinci, or Cleveland, or Buffalo. See how your talentless toes do up there. We, in New Orleans, neither need nor want your whining high-priced self-demagoguery. We got over that with the RW trade that the ‘other’ brilliant and indispensable person with this team – Ditka. This city has always set the pace, not followed it. Sure, we’ve had a terrible team since the inception, but we still pull for our athletes that give it their all and we still attend the games. But don’t kid yourself. You aren’t big enough, good enough, or tough enough to take us back where we deserve to be. One good year out of all of the over-priced ones before and after it doesn’t make you chief Moogli-Ooglie — more like princess Muggli-Uggli! So remember, take that turf-helmet problem elsewhere if you’re “satisfired” with the status quo of this lockout. Go back to USC (Us Sure Cheats) and give THEM a reason to believe in you and your slack ways. I, and many others, would like to see the type of reception you would receive from players whose dreams have been shattered by you, an acknowledged cheater, who now revels in the NFL lockout. Oh, and what a joker, too!
