Update On Red Sox Fan Who Got Lit Up After Storming Fenway Field: He’s A Real Yahdood
Shocking, right? My FOX Boston (via BuzzFeed) caught up with Boston Red Sox fan Brandon Kalantzis, who became a minor internet sensation yesterday when video of his drunken storming of the field at Fenway Park ended abruptly, courtesy of a well-timed, aggressive tackle by a Fenway security guard. And, as expected – given that he appears to be the epitome of the Drunken Boston Sports Fan stereotype and satisfies all the qualities inherent to said condition – Kalantzis is actually proud of his antics, despite the fact he got arrested and will be prosecuted.
“It hurt, I got drilled. I didn’t expect that,” said the 26-year-old of the Security Guard’s picture-perfect spear.
Kalantzis said he had a “couple of beers” before deciding to hop onto the field. His stunt may have landed him in the outfield, but it also landed him in jail until he could be bailed out at 5:30 am.
Of the people who may call his stunt idiotic? “That’s their opinion. It wasn’t them, they’ll never get to experience something like that so, Go Boston.”
Go Boston, indeed. “THE SAWX ARE THE BEST! NO ONE DENIES THIS!”
Jesus, what a lowbred ingrate. Here’s a hunch: The lyrics of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones really speak to him.
