It would surprise me greatly if most of you haven’t already heard about the, um, interesting comments Luke Scott made yesterday during MLB’s Winter Meetings regarding our Commander-in-Chief, but just in case, here they are:
“Obama … hmm … Obama does not represent America. Nor does he represent anything what our forefathers stood for … He was not born here. That’s my belief. I was born here. If someone accuses me of not being born here, I can go — within 10 minutes — to my filing cabinet and I can pick up my real birth certificate and I can go, “See? Look! Here it is.”
So, yeah. Anyhoo, it didn’t take long for the Baltimore Orioles organization to issue a statement whose sole purpose is to express that they do not want to get involved in a Political Flame War, unlike Luke Scott, the kind of guy that it wouldn’t come as a shock if it were discovered that his home address is a one-bedroom shack somewhere in the Maryland wilderness.
The statement (via Hardball Talk):
“Luke Scott’s comments do not reflect the opinion of the Baltimore Orioles organization. The fact is that Barack Obama is our President, duly elected by the people of the United States. End of story.”
Okey dokey. I guess I know where the Orioles stand now. The only thing that would have made that statement clearer is if the Orioles had asked Lee Greenwood to deliver it.

ken,did you know that a certificate of live birth is not allowed in the little league world series. i called the hawaii little league this year and they told me it is not an acceptable form for “proof of residence”. but you can run for president.

A certificate of live birth is what a birth certificate is officially titled in many states including California – the most populous state in the USA. It states that a human was born at a certain place and time. It is not acceptable for Hawaii Little League or any Little League as proof of residency because it does not provide any proof of where the youngster currently lives. Therefore it is not adequate proof that the youngster can play for a local team. It is acceptable proof of the child’s age and where the child was born. Of course where the child was born is irrelevant to Little League. Little League only wants to know the child’s age and where he or she currently resides.

A certificate of live birth is what a birth ceritifcate is called in many states including California – the most populous state in the USA. If you never got sucha certificate when the child was born or if you want to get additional copies, you can order another certificate of live birth at anytime you would like. A person who was not born in the state cannot get a certificate of live birth from the state. The ceritifcate states where the child was born, what date and time, parents, doctor, hospital etc.
If you were not born in Hawaii, you cannot get a certificate of live birth from Hawaii stating that you were born alive in Hawaii. You can get one that states that Obama was born there because he was.

Obama’s own Grandmother said he was born in Kenya. When a President’s birth location is questioned someone a physician, nurse, orderly would come forward and report they remember that day. That has not happened. Why was Michelle Obama disbarred.
The First Lafy was not disbarred She voluntarily requested an Inactive Status. To do so she had to petition the courts. When an Inactive Status was approved, it came in the form of a court order as all such requests did prior to the year 2000. Mrs Obama was not disbarred nor did she have any disciplinary actions against her. Do not take someones word as the truth, research it for yourself (like I did) before you continue spreading false information.

The article is wrong about Obama provintg a birth certificate. He provided a certificate of Live Birth which is different. Look it up before you start using a 2 paragraph article on yardbarker.com as your facts.

Whatever happened to Freedom of Speech? Luke Scott has every right to voice his opinion of any political figure including the President. Political speech is a protected right in the US Constitution. Enough doubt about Obama’s country of birth has been documented through his own family to require a complete investigation of the matter. It is my understanding that Obama’s mother could have filed for a birth certificate when she returned to Hawai’i from overseas. There needs to be a Certificate of Live Birth signed by the delivery physician to close the matter for good. If Obama was indeed born in the US that should not be too difficult to produce. If he was born in Kenya as his Kenyan family claims, then it would pose a problem. But for the sake of argument let’s say he wasn’t born in the U.S. That, my friends, would mean that he knowingly has perpetrated the greatest hoax in history on the American voting public. If that is the case, then he should be promptly impeached, removed from office, sentenced, and start doing time like you and I would if we had done anything remotely similar.

Well here we have another idiot on the block. The Supreme Court validated President Obama’s birth, the state of Hawaii validated his birth, and his birth certificate can be seen on line. So what else is needed. The GOP and the T-party have created an art for lying to your face in the presence of the truth and simply not believing a position or view point regardless of facts given to them. They take a position that they simply will not believe any view point that disagrees with theirs. End of story is their position. It’s called being dumb “A”.
I can’t blame Luke Scott for his comments. Thats how the guy feels and he has the right to feel that way and speek his mind. I personally am not a fan of the current president as he can not seem to follow through with anything he claims he will do. Even simple things such as his meetings from a while back being aired on CSPAN. Naturally they weren’t and there was no good answer as to why. And as for the discussion he is currently undergoing with a committee of his to cut the national deficit by taking from Active Duty Military is absolutely absurd. Why not take money from all the high paid government fat cats like senators that don’t need or deserve the money as much as our men and women serving our country with honor. What about former presidents that still get paid for the rest of their lives that pay could be cut back too. If he follows through with that then I don’t see our military caring as much knowing he doesn’t care for them. My oppinion is he is a piss poor leader and does not deserve a re-election!
