Spelling Fail: Redskins Cheerleaders Sport Jackets With Team Name Spelled ‘Redsikins’

As the saying goes, there’s no “I” in team, but according to the spelling-challenged designer of the above jackets which some Redskins cheerleaders wore during a recent community appearance, there’s two of them in D.C.’s NFL team’s name.

The Washington Redsikins. I really like the way it rolls so effortlessly off the tongue. As an added bonus, Redsikins doesn’t have the same inherent racism of the original name. I say make the switch, Dan Snyder, and make a go of it as the Washington Redsikins. Couldn’t hurt, right?

Sounds like a great reason to take of those jackets and show us what God/their plastic surgeon gave them.

Actually, it’s not misspelled. It’s a part of the “K” that manufacturers put on the right side should the jacket separate a bit (even though it often ends up looking worse). There are plenty of photos of this happening to baseball pitchers when their jerseys separate, making it appear to be a misspelling. (Happens to Phillies pitchers a lot.)
