Brittney Griner Couldn’t Be Finer After Giving Opposing Player A Shiner
Maybe she had a late meal at a diner. But since Lubbock is close to Waco, she probably didn’t fly in a jet airliner.
Okay, I’m done with the rhyming – don’t be a whiner.
Baylor superstar – at least as much as a women’s college basketball player can be – Brittney Griner will likely be disciplined by her school, the Big 12 and possibly the NCAA after punching Lady Raiders player Jordan Barncastle in retaliation for a foul committed by Barncastle midway through the second half of Baylor’s 69-60 win over Texas Tech. Shiner was ejected for the blow with 9:01 left to play in the game.
Barncastle – that’s an odd name, but not as strange as Bertha Shantymansion would be, I suppose.
Griner’s coach was not pleased with the freshman’s behavior:
“There’s no place for that in sports,” Mulkey said. “It was ugly for women’s basketball. It was ugly that coaches were on the court, that benches cleared, and I will take care of that with my team.”
Now women are throwing punches in games? Crazy stuff. Maybe she got ejected on purpose because Shiner had to go the locker room for a fresh panty liner.
Okay, now I’m done.
