The Tiger Woods Prom Photo Is Epic

First off, that’s gold, Jerry. Gold. A big old hat tip to Sports Crackle Pop! for the find.

This story is never going to die as it seems any person from Tiger’s past is coming out of the woodwork to take their spin on the fame machine. I won’t be surprised when the nurse who gave him his first hernia screening in junior high is interviewed (“Nurse Dishes On Tiger’s Adolescent Pubes in an exclusive interview!”).

Anyhoo, the photo above was provided by the lovely young gal who went to prom with Tiger Woods and was his steady girlfriend for three years, Dina Gravell. Radar Online managed to track her down (or was it the other way around?), to talk about her first love and what it was like to date Tiger for those wonderful three years before Woods grew tired of her and moved on.

“We dated in high school and he broke up with me through a letter I still have,” Dina tells RadarOnline.com. And noting the physical similarities she shares with his ex-model wife, Dina goes on to say, “It’s kind of an interesting parallel because people say I look a lot like his wife

Elin. I’m a twin just like her, my father-in-law’s name is Earl, which was Tiger’s father’s name, and now my last name is Parr, which is a very golf related name!”

But it seems Dina doesn’t regret the end of the relationship with her first love. “I look at Elin and think, ‘That could of been me’,” she tells RadarOnline.com. “Thank God it’s not!”

Indeed, Dina.

But really, the prom photo makes it all worth it. Even if Woods wasn’t in the colossal pit of shit he finds himself in and every iota of information regarding the tawdry mess didn’t manage to become the BIGGEST STORY OF THE DAY (AT LEAST UNTIL THE NEXT ONE - STAY TUNED TO TMZ FOR UPDATES!), I still would have found this photo hilarious.

Although the photo does make me hearken back to the year that was 1994, when Tiger escorted a young Dina to their high school prom. I imagine it was a lovely May evening. Earl rented the couple a limousine and they dined on manicotti and garlic bread at Macaroni Grill. They then went to the dance and busted a move on the dance floor to “All I Wanna Do” by Sheryl Crow, maybe a little “No Rain” by Blind Melon, but they probably took a break during “The Sign” by Ace of Base before really cutting a rug to “I Like To Move It” by Reel 2 Reel and then wrapping up the magical evening slow dancing to “I Swear” by John Michael Montgomery, “Until I Fall Away” from the Gin Blossoms and savoring the moment swaying to “Stay” by Lisa Loeb.

You say, I only hear what I want to.

Yeah…that’s nice. We were all so innocent at one time, weren’t we?
