@G. Cook, Huh. I didn’t read that as him making fun of Texans for having barns and loving country music. I assumed it was in reference to Texans’ love of dragging people from the back of pick-up trucks. Agree to disagree I suppose.

Not every Texan is a high school football fan (example: myself)… but even a guy like me (who doesn’t understand the motivations of high school football fans and wouldn’t care to hang out/talk with many to find out) wouldn’t go so far as to call them ALL cretins.

And jesus, man, if you’re going to make a Texans-like-to-screw-animals joke, at least get it right: it’s the rural folk who like it like that, capisce? Not some upper mid-class suburban kids, like the ones who go to those two schools. And yes, we do indeed have upper mid-class folk here in podunk ol’ H-town, we’re not all rodeo fans, and we don’t all love country music.
